Located near Jeffrey's home, a historic site, at York Mills and Yonge Streets in Toronto. The North York Historical Society and Betsy Fee, Jeffreys daughter, felt it was crucial to celebrate Canada's foremost historical artist. His illustrations of Canadian history from the Vikings to the 19th century are meticulous in execution and research. He was originally asked to be part of the Group of Seven and many of his outstanding paintings of Canada reside in the Ottawa National Gallery. I depicted a contemplative Jeffreys with artist tools in hand and illustrations from his Three Volume History on the plinth to provide the public with information about his work.
